It projects through the Koettlitz Glacier. Discovered and named by the NAE, 1901-04, for Seaman William L Heald, a member of the expedition who saved the life of Ferrar when the latter was suffering from scurvy in September 1902. It was climbed by Taylor of the BAE, 1910-13, on 26 February 1911.
