Discovered by the BAE, 1910-13, which named this feature for Tryggve Gran, ski expert with the expedition. He was a Norwegian naval officer who accompanied the Second Western Geological Party, led by Taylor, to the Granite Harbour area. Not Mt Tryggve Gran.
