Named by the leader of this party, Lieutenant K Prestrud, who ascended the features while exploring King Edward VII Land in December 1911. He named them in honour of Captain Robert F Scott, RN. Not Scott Nunatak, Scotts Nunataks or Scott's Nunataks.
