Event NameNew Zealand Alpine Club Antarctic Expedition 1959/60AbstractIn seven weeks in the field| one thousand square miles of territory were toporaphically surveyed. A geological survey of this region was carried out. Dr RL Oliver is preapring a paper containing the results of this survey and will be published in an appropriate scientific journal. Collections of lichens| mosses| pollen| insects and soil samples were made. On 6/12/59 smaill insects| probably of the genus Collembola were discovered at latitude 84.
