Event NameJARE| Study of Lake Vanda by Japanese Party 1970-1971Abstract
The study focuses mainly on the heat balance of the lake. Some geochemical and geomorphological studies were also made so far as the physical environment of the lake is concerned. For the purpose of the investigation| the following obeservations were carried out by the party from the 28th November| 1970 to 7th Frbruary| 1971. Unusual conditions of the lake ice melt water strams distrurbed the field work to some extent| but most of the planned works were completed.
