He has held a wide variety of leadership roles in New Zealand with a particular focus on transport, treaty settlements and public sector organisation and performance. He was project manager for the successful bid to secure the hosting rights to Rugby World Cup 2011 and has also undertaken a wide range of work for the New Zealand Rugby Union. Brian is also Chair of the First World War Centenary Programme, the Hurricanes Super 15 franchise and the Wellington Gateway Project who are responsible for the construction and delivery of the Transmission Gully roading project.
Brian has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Victoria University) and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA).
