Event NameTrey Ratcliff, Stuck in Customs, with Stu Robertson, Peace in 10,000 HandsAbstract
Principally Trey’s visit to Antarctica was to use his vast digital outreach as a means to communicate our role in Antarctica. Of significance, Trey wanted to capture the mysterious beauty of Antarctica.
Trey offers a unique style of photography (HDR) which layers multiple images to give a surreal effect. Trey will also be making some videos that will be shared with his 15 million strong digital audience (Facebook, Google, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest). His work has to date (June 2015) received more than 29 billion views.
Trey is also looking to complete video content for his YouTube channel and hopes to have this completed by the end of 2015.
Stu Robertson supported Trey’s objectives and filmed and photographed their Antarctic journey. Stu Robertson, in his own right, also contributed an Antarctic dynamic to his Peace in 10,000 Hands project.
During this project he aims to place a single white rose in the hands of 10,000 people from every country and every walk of life – a concept that speaks profoundly to our similarities in the human condition and explores the essence of peace.
